This overview is representative of the services offered by Bruce Brown

Shows Each year, we worked to have our principles products
exposed at consumer shows within our territory. We were proud to have had our principles' products shown at the following
shows: Los Angeles Boat Show, Strictly Sail Pacific, Strictly Sail Long Beach,
the Hawaii Marine Industry Day Exhibition, and Outdoor Retail Show. We have also have exhibited at the Ko Ohlina Boat Show
(Honolulu, HI), the Fred Hall Fishing Tackle Show, Long Beach Yacht and Boat Show, Strictly Sail Long Beach, San Diego Boat
Show, San Francisco Boat Show, Fish Expo/Pacific Marine Expo, Houston Boat Show, New Orleans Boat Show, WorkBoat Show in
New Orleans, The Offshore Technology Conference in Houston, and the San Diego Boat Show. Our group
showed at all distributor shows and events in an effort to secure sales on behalf of the manufacturers we represented.
Presentations Our Associates were actively involved with the National Marine Manufacturers Association (West Coast Advisory Board member), Sail America and the United
States Marine Safety Association. We lecture at US Coast Guard Safety Days for the regional Marine Safety Offices, at Strictly
Sail Pacific and at United States Sailing Association sponsored Safety at Sea Seminars. We had been presenters at Maritime
Industry Days on behalf of the US Coast Guard. We provided training for the US Coast Guard and the commercial fishing industry
(NOAA observer training and Commercial Fishing Industry Safety Training sessions). We were invited presenters at the University
of California Sea Grant Programs, University of South Louisiana and Texas A & M Marine Safety Schools. We were involved
in on-board liferaft tests, Crew Overboard symposiums and the 2002 Volvo Ocean Race Safety seminar in Miami. We had been
invited presenters at various boat manufacturer’s owners rendezvous events. Training Our group provideed staffing for training sessions at distribution sites, OEM production facilities, retail store locations
and consumer information sessions. We focused on sales training for our principle’s products. We created in store
training material that was noted as superior by our customers. Our group was recognized as superior presenters at West Marine
University. We were recognized as a top presenter at Port Supply University. We created a highly regarded training piece
for in store training with West Marine. Our training of distributor sales teams
was recognized as top level and produces results for our principles. Our involvement in training was recognized industry wide. Bruce
Brown was a USCG approved instructor for USCG 100-Ton License and STCW in-water
safety training and has completed a 16-hour AMSEA training seminar, a 48 hour Marine Safety Instructor Training
course and an STCW Instructor Training course. Bruce completed the training to manage Drill Instructor
Training courses to satisfiy the Commerical Fishing requirments for on-board instructor training. He
was also an approved moderator for US Sailing Safety at Sea Seminars.
Industry Participation
Bruce Brown served multiple terms on the Southern California
Marine Association Board of Directors. He served as the President of the Association twice, for two terms each time.
He has served as a Boat Show Chairman 5 times. He was awarded the Byron Bronson Award in July 2010 by the Scouthern California Marine Association
Board of Directors to recognize his service to the Southern California marine industry
We were members of Sail America - Bruce Brown has served on the Strictly Sail Pacific Show committe for 5 years
We were members of the United States Marine Safety Association - Bruce Brown served on the Board of Directors
and is a past Vice President of the Association. Bruce Brown completed a second term as President of the United States
Marine Association in 2007-2008. Bruce served on the US Sailing Safety at Sea Committee. He was a member of the US Sailing National Faculty
Bruce was the Chairman of
the Safety at Sea Working Group on Training and Moderators
We have been members of the Alaska Marine Safety Education Association.
Information Our commitment to informing
the public and the trade about products, programs and services led us to incorporate proven sales techniques and methods from
other industries. Computer generated training materials were created as part of our service. We maintained a regular relationship
with retailers outside the marine industry in an ongoing effort to keep pace with the marketing shifts of the new century.
Bruce
Brown served as the chairman of the US Sailing Independent Review Panel for the
fatal accident involving the sailing vessel Aegean during the
2012 Newport to Ensenada Race.
Bruce was
a US Sailing Safety at Sea Moderator. Sales Maintaining consistent efforts produce sales gains for our principles. Times required sales techniques that presented each
manufacturers' unique offerings. We assisted in development of multi media presentations to generate sales with many of
our accounts. From the creation of electronic training aids and catalog pages to web site development, our group is involved
was the technology of tomorrow to realize sales! Bruce Brown and Associates was recognized by various principles as “The
Top Sales Achievers”.
